Plug & Play The Flex-6000 Signature Series is designed with plug-and-play installation requirement. There are no drivers or install interface cards. Just connect the radio antenna, power and network, load the SmartSDR software on existing PC and operate.
The FLEX-6700 incorporates two independent 16-bit, Analog Devices AD9467 to synchronous 245.76 Msps (Mega samples per second) analog to digital converters (ADC), which allow direct RF spectrum scanning.
Not only receive all digital; so is the transmission. The transceiver FLEX-6700 incorporates a 16-bit AD9122 Analog Devices to digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operating at 491.52 Msps. Direct Digital Up Conversion (DUC) eliminates the traditional analog mixing and IF amplification, thus maximizing carrier and undesired sideband suppression, minimizing spurious output and intermodulation distortion in band.
The transceiver FLEX-6700 allows creating up to 8 independent Slice Receivers providing reception from 0.03 MHz to 135 MHz at 77 MHz and 165MHz. Each receiver Slice can provide independent up to 384 kHz Spectral view.
The Flex-6000 Signature Series packs more built-in digital signal process power than ever imagined in an amateur radio transceiver. The FLEX-6700 offers 317 billion operations of multiplication-addition per second (GMACS) and 121 billion floating point operations per second (GFLOPS).
The FLEX-6700 hardware FPGA transceiver uses to generate directly the waveform CW digitally with an RF carrier frequency. This means that RF carrier switches to speed hardware without truncation element as is typical in many radio.
The FLEX-6700 incorporates a low-latency audio streaming dedicated DSP parametric equalization, audio compression, gating, RF noise level adjustment, and monitoring.
A SmartSDR deserves a high performance RF power amplifier system to match. The FLEX-6500 incorporates a pair of sturdy push-pull transistor MOSFET RD100HHF operate at 13.8 V DC. It also includes an automatic antenna tuner capable of tuning out of 10:1 (3:1 on 160 m and 6 m).
The Signature Series Flex-6000 is the first family of amateur radio products offer an optional integrated GPS Disciplined oscillator (GPSDO).
