The Heil Proset Elite professional microphone cap is the top of the Heil headphones. The Proset Elite offers wide, emkinned pavilions with removeable cotton covers. These headphones offer comfortable use even after a long time. The audio rendering is optimized for the transmission of voice on amateur bands, ensuring excellent intelligibility. Like all headphones in the "Proset" series, it incorporates a phase switch on a speaker. The phase switch rotates the audio on one side of the headset to offer better and surprising inellecibility, almost a spatial location of the signal and better separation from background noise.
Another innovation of the Proset Elite is the new HC-6 dynamic microphone, Bob Heil has adopted this new element in response to radios that include an audio equalizer for transmission (e.g. FT-2000, FT-950, IC-7400, IC-756Pro etc.) so it is no longer necessary to use a special capsule with reduced passing band (such as the HC-4). The new HC-6 has a large frequency response of between 100 and 12,500 Hz (-3dB) and is particularly suitable for SSB or high fidelity AM and FM. For contests or DX operations, you can adjust the radio equalizer for a better "punch"
For older Icom radios, which require a higher microphone level, the Proset Elite is also offered in the version with the electret microphone element "IC". This element requires 5V power, normally available on Icom devices.
The Heil Proset Elite comes with a 180cm spiral cable with a 3.5mm mono jack for the microphone and a 3.5mm stereo jack for the earbuds. The adapter for the 6.3mm stereo jack is included.
The Proset-IC comes with a radio adapter (8-pin microphone jack)!
