If you use a scanner or software defined receiver (SDR) for reception, and you want to transmit with a normal transceiver, you need an antenna switch. This device must switch the antenna immediately at the start of the transmission.
TRSWITCH does just that. The switch has a connection for the antenna and two connectors for the receiver and the transmitter. Switching is performed automatically (Vox RF, 10 mW up) or with a PTT line.
TRSWITCH is equipped with an additional AF switch: when an external speaker is used the receiver is deactivated, the CW note is audible through the loudspeaker. The receiver connector is grounded during transmission, and is also protected against lightning. Without power the antenna is always connected to the transmitter (or transceiver).
TRSWITCH function from DC to 160 MHz, the insertion loss is 0.2 dB. The maximum transmission power is 100 W, the device requires 13.8V and 200mA.
